1979 Franco Togni develops new transport and conveying systems for industrial ground handling.
1997 Launch of first automatic stacker crane machine, capable of storing pallets in a rack unit and performing automatic recovery.
2002 Presentation and commercialization of the first Autosat remote control carrier.
2007 Internationalization with the creation of automatic warehouses in Eastern Europe, India and China.
2010 Launch of Supercap, the first battery-free carrier, powered by a super-capacitor, capable of working in temperatures from -30° to +55°.
2015 Design and construction of the largest automatic “rolls” textile warehouse in the world, in Antwerp (Belgium).
2017 Assignment of Mr. Giuseppe Stefanelli as CEO.
2018 Development of increasingly engineered products at the service of pioneering systems and solutions, customized according to client’s needs.
2019 Automha celebrated its first 40 years of activity and designed and created a new machine: PEAKMOVER.
2020 During the Covid-19 health emergency, Automha continued to operate reached a yearly production of 900 Pallet runners, 350 Autosatmovers and 250 Supercap machines.
2021 Automha inaugurates the new headquarters in Azzano San Paolo which hosts the executive offices and the new high-tech production sector.
Automha, with two production sites and six commercial sites located around the world, now has 230 employees, of an average age of 40 years old. In addition to the operations sector, the company’s collaborators are employed in the engineering, research and development sectors.
In 2019, the global staff increase compared to 2018 was 51%, and 11% in the first six months of 2020, compared to the same period of the previous year.
The world of tomorrow is built today, looking ahead: since President Franco Togni developed ad hoc handling material systems and solutions in 1979, Automha has continued its search for new goods storage solutions in every sector.
Speed, precision and performance were combined with the new technologies and ideas that came with the managerialization of the company and with the arrival of the second generation: the President and founder Franco Togni was joined by his children Roberta (General Counsel and CSR Officer) and Gianni (Vice President) and by the CEO Giuseppe Stefanelli.
Automha is a continuously growing company that has never stopped expanding, even during times of crisis. The courage to invest has led Automha to record a growth trend of 25% per year, setting itself the goal of reaching a turnover of 100 million euros by 2022.
With the construction of a new headquarters, developed on an area of over 7,000 square meters, and the continuation of the hiring plan, our company continues to look to the future.
In addition to the headquarters in Azzano San Paolo, in the province of Bergamo, Automha has 6 international sites; one of the production sites is in China.

Internationalization and serving all foreign markets in the most varied sectors has been the key to the recognition and appreciation for Automha’s technology and design flexibility, satisfying the needs of each client.
Automha has also increased its national market: an important growth in terms of turnover at a group level, which has generated the need to accelerate and engineer processes even more.
