Automha R&D takes place in the area adjacent to the new headquarters of the Automha group, over a surface of 2,850 m2, 2,000 m2 of offices and labs and 850 m2 of workshop fitted to test prototypes. The Made in Italy excellence has completely assigned a part of the business to the Research and Development department, the center of Automha innovation. In fact, explains Gianni Togni, Vice President of Automha “The business has always been oriented toward innovation and to the continuous improvement of its warehouse solutions and products. Each year, we invest 2.5% of sales into the R&D department, to update our industrial processes and guarantee continuous growth and greater flexibility“. The R&D department, headed by Walter Danne, represents the center of the development, industrialization and planning of the business. “For planning automated warehouses, the Automha R&D works with an eye always toward the evolution of the market, to scope out potential problems and provide, consequently, solutions focused on resolving them” says the area manager. Looking at the future also signifies satisfying an always more demanding target and knowing how to keep up with the times. Automha R&D does exactly this and the three newest products – Autosat G9, PathMover and SpinMover, recently presented at the most important trade shows in the sector, are examples of the creative and technical fruit of the company’s Research and Development department. AutoSat G9 is the shuttle created for the automated multi-depth storage of pallets within traditional drive-in shelving, while PathMover is the first AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle) to come from the Bergamo company. A machine that is able to transport up to a 1,500 kg load at a maximum velocity of 60m/min, making movements faster and also more precise thanks to Mecanum wheels. Finally, the SpinMover is an RGV (Rail Guided Vehicle) system able to guarantee maximum efficiency and flexibility in the warehouse thanks to its innovative, latest-generation rotating platforms. “The three products are born from the needs of our clients, in-depth market analysis and the market’s needs” concludes Gianni Togni.
