Peacock salt, founded in Glasgow in 1874 by John Craig Peacock, a very dynamic shipper, grew at a frenetic pace from a small company to the most important British company in the export of salts, a role it still boasts today.
The constant success of the company has led it to expand, initially choosing a solution entirely composed of gravity racks for its headquarters in Ayr, which over time has caused various inconveniences to logistical operations.
