The history of Frascheri, leading company in the production of long-shelf-life milk and cream, began in 1955 when, thanks to 64 members, a Social Cooperative was born. Egidio Frascheri became one of the principal shareholders and, a few years later, he took leadership when the cooperative ended its activity. Then the company moved to Savona, and it began a growth process peaking in the ‘90s, thanks to the automation programs and IT management of production processes, allowing the company to discover new technologies for milk and cream processing.
Frascheri has always aimed at being reliable to its clients, employees, and suppliers. Therefore, it has achieved many certifications: for instance, the quality certification following the ISO 9001 norm and the certification regarding the management system of food safety (SGSA) by the voluntary international standard ISO 22000.
Frascheri and Automha follow the same company policy, aiming at innovating, preserving the environment, and satisfying the client thanks to the two company’s high-quality products.
Given its ability to innovate constantly, the company decided to commission Automha for the project of automating its Milk Power Plant. From the classical storage method, they moved to a high-density automatic storage system on two levels which is composed by 2 Autosats Wi-Fi managed by the AWM One software, able to operate at a controlled temperature of 4°C.
Autosat is the Automha’s shuttle, licensed in 1999, which deals with the automatic storage of pallets in multi-depth inside traditional drive-in shelves and optimizes space in the warehouse, reaching its maximum capacity. When the process is managed by the AWM One – Automha’s WMS for the semi-automatic warehouses – the warehouse becomes even more efficient thanks to the better management of order fulfilment and optimization of all internal movements.
Thanks to Automha, Frascheri has managed to modernize the milk power station. The automatic warehouse has made the inbound and outbound processes faster, decreasing the probability of error and significantly increasing productivity.
