To support the expansion of its logistics operations in Alhama de Murcia, Spain, ElPozo Alimentación selected Automha to design and deliver a high-density automated warehouse dedicated to frozen food storage.

Operating continuously at -23°C, the installation represents one of the most demanding intralogistics environments, where every component must guarantee maximum reliability, accuracy and operational continuity under extreme conditions.

Automha developed the entire solution as system integrator, taking responsibility for the design of the automated warehouse, automation, software integration and material handling systems, with technologies specifically engineered for cold-storage applications.

At the heart of the installation is a high-density automated storage system featuring 3 SRM stacker cranes equipped with Supercap® technology, integrated with a complete conveyor network, the RushMover® system for high-speed pallet handling and WCS software for the management and coordination of the entire installation.

With a height of nearly 30 metres and a storage capacity of approximately 14,360 pallet locations, the warehouse is designed to handle loads of up to 1,000 kg, delivering high throughput while maximizing storage density.

The entire logistics flow is fully automated, from pallet receiving and automatic identification, weight and profile checks through to storage and order preparation. This approach reduces manual handling, improves product traceability and ensures high operational efficiency under all operating conditions.
